High profile city centre development site earmarked for a new four-star hotel.

The site is strategically located on Suffolk Street, adjacent to the Mailbox shopping centre, close to the new HMRC Regional Hub, HSBC’s headquarters and the pending HS2 high speed rail network linking Birmingham to London.

MRP have secured an Agreement for Lease with the Dalata Hotel Group Plc, Ireland’s largest hotel chain, to deliver a new 330 bed Maldron brand hotel with a business centre. On practical completion the hotel will be held on a 35 year operational lease, subject to five-year rent reviews linked to the Retail Price Index.

A planning application has been approved by Birmingham City Council for the hotel and it is anticipated that the hotel will delivered in 2021 by McAleer & Rushe Contracts UK.
